All star cast for Williamstown Literary Festival

More than 80 authors will feature in this year’s Williamstown Literary Festival, it was revealed at last Thursday’s program launch.

Local favourites to return include bestselling author Andy Griffiths (The Treehouse, Just!), Australian Children’s Laureate Leigh Hobbs (Horrible Harriet, Old Tom and Mr Chicken) and Claire Saxby (My Name is Lizzie Flynn, Meet Weary Dunlop, Christmas at Home).

Feminist author Clementine Ford (

Fight Like A Girl) will join authors and senior lecturers Patricia Pender and Jenny Lee on a panel discussing Buffy the vampire slayer as a feminist icon.

Held on the weekend of June 17 and 18, the Willy Lit Fest will have 50 events at the Williamstown Town Hall and Williamstown library.

This year’s theme is ‘Food for thought’.
