Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding an alleged sexual assault on a train travelling towards Middle Footscray station last month.
It is believed the offender approached the victim on a Sunbury bound train between Melbourne and Middle Footscray about 5.15pm on 15 October and sexually assaulted them.
The offender is described as a male in his late 50s to early 60s, around 5’10 in height, skinny with a white beard and short hair.
Investigators have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.
