Altona man Sean Michael McMillian will serve six months’ jail for procuring underage girls for sexual activity.

McMillian pleaded guilty in the County Court to two charges of using a carriage service to procure a person under the age of 16.

The court heard McMillian had sexualised online chats with a ‘Lily’ and a ‘Sienna’, whom he believed were girls aged under 16 years but who were police investigating online child exploitation.

He was aged 26 and 27 at the times of offending, between last October and November.

Using the name ‘Seany Mack’, he communicated with Lily, whom he thought was a 14-year-old girl.

He sent sexualised images and videos and wanted to meet.

McMillian used the name ‘Seanie M’ to communicate via Kik with ‘Sienna’, whom he believed was a 15-year-old girl.

He eventually arranged to meet ‘Sienna’ in North Melbourne, at which time he was arrested by police.

McMillian was sentenced to two and a half years’ jail but will be released after six months on a four-year good behaviour bond.

He must undertake a sex offender’s program after release from jail and will remain on the sex offenders register for 15 years.
