Altona Meadows has been identified as one of Victoria’s luckiest postcodes to win the lottery in 2021.

Altona Meadows, along with Sunbury and Melbourne, sold three division one winning entries this year.

Three lucky winners bought tickets from Central lotto at Central Square Shopping Centre Altona Meadows, amounting to a total prize of $5,186,056.

The biggest individual prize of the three was $3,333,333.

The Lott spokesperson Lauren Cooney said: “While lottery wins can land anywhere, from time to time, we see pockets of wins emerge in certain postcodes and regions.”

“This year, we’ve seen wins fall far and wide across the country, from inner-city suburbs to regional locations.”

Over the past year, there were 480 division one winning entries across all lottery games held across the country, amounting to more than $1.3 billion in division one prize money.

Victoria took out the number one spot for the most major prizes, with 131 division one winning entries in the state and more than $358 million in prize money.
