Detectives are investigating a home invasion in Altona North last night that left a man injured.
It is believed two unknown male offenders broke into a property on Mangan Court about 7.15pm on Monday, September 16.
After breaking into the house, the pair, armed with an axe, attacked two men inside.
A 36-year-old Altona North man sustained minor injuries, but did not require treatment.
Police were told the offending pair fled the scene in a white two door hatchback in an unknown direction.
Police are investigating whether the males are known to each other.
