Altona North Community Library reopened

Hobsons Bay Council has reopened the Altona North Community Library.

With Victoria’s vaccination rates reaching 80 per cent and restrictions easing, the council is taking a measured approach to reopening to ensure community and staff safety, as well as continuing to provide more than 100 Council services.

The Altona North branch will be open from 9.30am to 5pm weekdays.

Customer service officers will be on hand at the library for general Council enquiries and EFTPOS payments in lieu of the Civic Centre remaining closed until further notice.

A COVID Check-in Marshal will greet visitors upon arrival and will assist with checking-in. Vaccination status will be a condition of entry.

Remaining library branches will stay closed for now, however, click and collect will operate as normal at Altona, Altona Meadows and Williamstown libraries (Newport remains suspended).
