An Altona school will receive $200,000 in funding to upgrade its playground thanks to the Victorian government.

Altona Green Primary School will receive the funding from the Inclusive Schools Fund to build an inclusive playground and new play equipment.

The fund supports small building projects that will make a big difference to the needs of all children and young people, including those with a disability and additional needs.

Education Minister James Merlino said: “Small projects like these make a world of difference to students of all abilities”.

Altona MP Jill Hennessy said she can’t wait to see what the finished product will look like at Altona Green Primary School.

“I’m so thrilled students in Altona will have access to more inclusive spaces through the latest round of the Inclusive Schools Fund –and can’t wait to see the finished project.”
