More than 25 local and interstate dealers will present their wares at the 26th annual Antiques and Collectables Fair at Williamstown Town Hall.
The three-day fair is a major fundraiser for community projects supported by the Rotary Club of Hoppers Crossing.
Fair co-ordinator Trevor Jago said that over the 26 years of the fair, about $300,000 had been put back into the community.
“Our fair is now probably the second biggest fair in Victoria,” he said. “It holds a lot of prestige among the dealers.
“We try to get a whole range, from jewellery to furniture to bric-a-brac to vintage clothing.”
Mr Jago said a lot of the dealers were eager to buy – as well as sell.
“We often say to people, if they want something valued, if you’re not living too far away, these dealers can quite often come along and have a look at it and give you an idea,” he said.
“If it’s too big to move, bring a photo for them to have a look at.”
Funds raised will be used in the club’s local, community and international projects.
The fair will run on Friday, July 13, from 5-8pm, Saturday from 10am-5pm and Sunday from 10am-4pm.
