Appeal for footage of motorbike collision

Melbourne Highway Patrol have appealed for anyone who may have dashcam footage of a fatal accident involving an Altona North woman to come forward.

A Victoria Police spokesperson said emergency services were called to reports of a collision between a truck and motorcycle on Kings Way, on the ramp of the Westgate Freeway in Southbank at about 4.50pm on Friday, July 22.

“The motorcyclist, a 52-year-old Altona North woman, died at the scene,” the spokesperson said

“The male driver of the white Volvo Prime Mover, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, stopped at the scene.

“Investigators also believe the driver of a large white truck, which was driving in the right lane next to the Volvo Prime Mover, can help with their inquiries.”
