South Korean Professional Baseball Team the Hanwa Eagles have made themselves at home in Altona as part of their Spring Training preseason program.

For three weeks, the Hanwa Eagles will be training at the Melbourne Ballpark in Altona Meadows, before finishing off their stint away from home against the Australian Baseball team.

It will be the first time the National Men’s team has played here in Melbourne since 2017 .

Melbourne Aces general Manager Justin Huber says it has been amazing watching the South Koreans going through their paces.

“It reminds me of when I was a part of the MLB in my playing days. The professionalism of the Hanwa Eagles in everything they do is military like,” he said.

“Nothing is left to chance. It will be a fantastic opportunity for the baseball fans of Melbourne to see them in action when they take on the Australian team made up of Big-League players and guys who are playing well in the minors.”

Tickets are still available for the two games which will be played on February 17 and 18.
