From classic cabaret to musical comedy, Wit Incorporated’s 2023 season launch will have a bit of everything on show.

Held on Friday, December 2 at Mamma Chen’s in Footscray from 7.30pm, the launch will include performances from a range of west Melbourne talent, including Florian Wild, Riley Nottingham, Artemis Muñoz, Madeleine Magee Carr, Sonia Marcon, Emma Drysdale, Akemi Kawabata, Sasha Leong and Reis Low

A range of raffle prizes will also be up for grabs, including tickets to Wit’s 2023 shows, a double pass to the Sun Theatre in Yarraville and bottles of wine.

All funds raised during the night will contribute towards the theatre company’s 2023 season.

Artistic director Lansy Feng said they were in the final stages of selecting the two shows they would produce for 2023.

“There are too many great scripts out there,” she said.

Company member Madeleine Magee Carr said the comedy and cabaret fundraiser will be a chance to reach out to performers throughout the west and showcase what they have to offer for 2023.

“We’re really interested with connecting with the community in the west,” she said.

“Hopefully, lots of people come and it’ll be a really good night.”
