Bizarre burglary in Laverton

A burglar made himself at home during a break-in at a Laverton residence last week.

Police are investigating the burglary, which occurred on Friday, January 4.

Investigators have been told an unknown man entered the Robertson Street property around 11am.

Once inside the man washed his clothes, had a shower and stole food from the premises.

Radio station 3AW reported that the man also clipped his toenails.

The man fled the scene when a resident of the house came home. No-one was injured during the incident.
