A bumper crowd turned out at Williamstown beach on Wednesday to take advantage of one of the warmest days so far this spring.
Thursday brought a late afternoon thunderstorm and the weather is looking cooler into the weekend, but the warm weather returns early in the week with a top of 24 degrees tipped for Monday and a maximum of 29 for a sunny Melbourne Cup Day.
