Business Matters: Top lifestyle with peace of mind

Moving to retirement living doesn’t mean giving up the things you love.

At Amarco Apartments in Kingsville, it means you have more time to do what you enjoy most – free from the burdens and high ongoing costs that come with managing and maintaining a house.

You will be able to enjoy the perfect retirement and the chance to fill your days with as much or as little as you like in the environment you want.

Here are just some of the many benefits of living at Amarco:

Vibrant community

There are many fantastic social opportunities available at Amarco. A residents’ committee organises regular outings, including dinners, day activities and annual celebrations such as grand final day. On-site activities include weekly tai chi classes, shows, entertainment and regular get-togethers. A library, business centre, lounge facilities and cafe are on site.

A community bus takes residents on weekly trips to local shopping precincts.

Peace of mind

Security is important for everyone, but particularly for people as they age.

Amarco is a secure complex with private underground parking, 24/7 emergency support including nurse call button, private apartments and weekday concierge service.

Staff are available to support residents with maintenance or other requirements.

Care partnerships

While maintaining independence is key for Amarco residents, additional support is available if needed. Residents can access a range of in-home support services such as cleaning, ironing, personal care and shopping.

These services are available from Uniting AgeWell on a fee for service basis, or residents may qualify for federal government support through a home care package.

There are also respite and social support options – or residential care, if greater care is needed – at the adjoining Uniting AgeWell Kingsville Community.

Simple contracts, no hidden costs

Amarco’s transparent and simple contracts mean there’s no confusion about terms and
meanings. They’re in line with the rules and regulations of the Retirement Villages Act and outline all ongoing contribution, service and exit fees.

There are two cooling-off periods during the contract exchange process, so there’s no pressure to sign.

Of course, all prospective buyers are encouraged to get their own solicitors to review the contracts

before signing.

Location, location

In a quiet street, Amarco Apartments is five kilometres from shopping, entertainment and restaurants; public transport is available to take you where you need to go; and nearby are parks, libraries, cinemas, sports precincts and more.
