Homicide Squad detectives have charged a girl following a fatal stabbing in Footscray in the early hours of Thursday, November 16.
The charge follows an incident at a Barkly Street address where a 37-year-old woman was located deceased shortly before 2am.
The 12-year-old girl was charged with one count of murder.
She has been remanded to appear before a children’s court at a later date.
