A touch of Dickensian whimsy has West Footscray abuzz as Post Industrial Design brings its popular Christmas window back for another year.
Artist Jos Van Hulsen’s sculptural installation, Bah humBUG, is a tongue-in-cheek play on Ebenezer Scrooge’s immortal damning of Christmas in the Charles Dickens classic A Christmas Carol.
As well as a play on words, the bugs are intended as a reminder of the environmental impact of mass consumerism.
The window will be lit until 10pm every night leading up to Christmas.
