Citizen’s arrest in Sanctuary Lakes

A man made a citizen’s arrest in Sanctuary Lakes this morning,  following an alleged road rage incident.

Police were called to a shopping centre on Point Cook Road about 10.30am following reports of an assault.

Police said they believed a verbal dispute over a road incident escalated into a physical assault.

The victim, a 51-year-old Altona Meadows man, made a citizen’s arrest.

He was able to restrain the alleged offender until police arrived.

Afterwards, police interviewed a 51-year-old Point Cook man, who has since been released pending further inquiries.
