Community bank fair
The Bendigo Bank Community Bank Altona and Laverton branches are celebrating 22 years of supporting the Hobsons Bay and Wyndham communities with a Community Fair. Altona’s Logan Reserve from noon until 5pm on Saturday, October 15. Activities include a free sausage sizzle, a petting zoo, face painting, stalls and vehicle displays, as well as a performance from The Voice Generations stars Tim and Caitlin Rizzoli.

Making Noise
Making Noise will be running a series of live performances and silent auctions to raise funds for Full Stop Australia. Class Act
In Class Act, working class unfortunate Mish Grigor tells the story of a grotesque world of class and social mobility straight from her dirty mouth. The Altona Meadows & Newport Heart Foundation Walking Group is a local community of men and women committed to walking and socialising together for about 60 minutes. Altona Lions Club Cherry Lake Market is held on the first Sunday of the month. Set between Millers Road and the stunning Cherry Lake in Altona, this market has something for everyone. Carers’ Walk and Talk
Pathways for Carers is running free walking events in Laverton. Carers who participate in the groups are defined as unpaid and caring for a loved one with a disability, mental illness or an elderly person. The goal of each group is to provide carers with peer-based support, information, services and resources, opportunities to be active and connect with other carers, connect with nature and connect with their local community.
