Road users in Melbourne’s inner west will be able to have their say on future planning options for two key routes in the area.
On Monday, April 24, Roads and Road Safety Minister Melissa Horne announced an online survey to come underway next week.
Those who regularly travel along Blackshaws Road in South Kingsville and Kororoit Creek Road in Williamstown are being asked to share their views on a range of road safety points.
The survey focuses on Blackshaws Road between Millers Road and Melbourne Road and Kororoit Creek Road between Maddox Road and Melbourne Road.
Ms Horne said the survey will benefit the council by understanding how the community uses the roads to ensure future improvements that benefit road users and residents
“Melbourne’s inner-west is rapidly growing so we want the community to inform how we plan for the area’s transport future, including upgrades to our roads to boost safety”, she said.
Motorists, pedestrians and cyclists will have the opportunity to provide their view on traffic flow, speed limits, pedestrian crossings and lighting.
Feedback gathered from the survey will be reviewed to understand how the community uses these roads to inform future planning and transport initiatives in the area.
On average, more than 35 000 vehicles travel across both stretches of road per day, the state government said.
The survey opens on the VicRoads website Monday, April 24 and closes at midnight on Sunday, May 21.
