Maribyrnong residents are being given the chance to have their say on the Creative West project aimed at revitalising the Footscray CBD.
Workshops, events and drop-ins sessions are scheduled for later this month to get public feedback on the project which comprises a library, a performing arts venue and a green space known as the town park.
Residents are invited to join stakeholder workshops on the project, with expressions of interest open now, while a pop-up event featuring a talk from local author Alice Pung, live music performances and workshops will be held on Saturday 14 February.
Residents wanting to chat to council staff about the project can attend a drop-in session at the Braybrook Hub from 4pm-6pm on Thursday 26 February.
Those who are unable to attend in-person events but still want to have their say, can provide online feedback on the library, performing arts and town park aspects of the project up until Sunday 1 March.
Maribyrnong council and the federal government have both committed $5 million each towards the Creative West project which is proposed for the current Footscray Library site and adjoining carpark.
