Crews respond to factory fire in Footscray

A fire broke out at a Footscray factory last night.

Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) crews were called to the Ballarat Road balze about 8.45pm.

In a statement, FRV said additional resources were dispatched due to the building size and difficulty in entering the building.

Firefighting operations were initially difficult as fire had entered the roof space, however firefighters were able to get the fire under control before it could spread.

The fire was officially deemed under control at 9.44pm, and no injuries were reported.
