A Dutch abstract artist whose work fetches up to $25,000 a piece will base himself in Yarraville. Norway-born Svein Koningen will take up residence at Living Studio Koningen Gallery at 36 Urwin Street after 12 years working in Brugge, Belgium. His works range from small pieces starting at $100 right up to $25,000 for larger works and varies from semi-abstract expressionist to water colours and nudes. Koningen will launch his first exhibition since returning to Australia to coincide with the opening of his gallery on Saturday, June 3 and Sunday, June 4 from 11am until 4pm.
