Eight nominate for Williamstown

The Williamstown electorate has been held by Labor’s Melissa Horne since 2018.

The electorate takes in Williamstown, Williamstown North, Newport, Altona, Altona North, Seaholme, Brooklyn, Spotswood and South Kingsville.

A 2020-21 boundary redistribution resulted in the electorate losing 15,448 voters to the Footscray electorate, including from Kingsville, Seddon and most of Yarraville and gaining 9775 voters from the former Altona electorate, including from Altona, Seaholme and part of Altona North.

Labor has a 19.9 per cent margin.

Seven candidates have joined Ms Horne in nominating for election in Williamstown. They are: Rochelle Fisher (Labour DLP), Daria Kellander (Liberal and Hobsons Bay councillor), Joshua Mosely (Family First Victoria), Alexander Ansalone (Freedom Party of Victoria), Julien Q. Macandili (Victorian Socialists), Suzette Rodoreda (Greens), and Patricia Mackevicius (Animal Justice Party).
