Explore art, memory and belonging in Hume

Three emerging Hume artists are set to showcase their own powerful explorations of identity and memory in a new triple exhibition launching at Broadmeadows Town Hall on Thursday 13 November.

The event will celebrate the solo exhibitions of Saba Tanveer, Minadi Gajaman and Erhan Tirli, each offering a unique lens on what it means to belong through culture, place, and transformation.

The three artists will showcase their creative works through photography, sculpture and painting, working to transform familiar materials and imagery into deeply personal reflections on connection and transformation.

In ‘The Story Behind’, Tanveer delves into hidden narratives with layered paintings which blur the lines between visibility and concealment.

Gajaman’s “Memories of Water, Unearthed’ invites visitors into an immersive sculptural world crafted from clay, water and natural materials, serving a poetic exploration of the bond between earth, spirit and memory.

Tirli’s photographic series ‘Hatir’ captures the warmth and intimacy of cross-cultural belonging

Guests attending the launch are given the opportunity to meet the artists and hear first-hand about their inspirations and creative processes.

Together, the three exhibitions aim to create a vibrant dialogue between personal history and shared experience as a testament to the diversity and creative energy thriving within the Hume community.

The exhibitions will be on display following the launch event on Thursday 13 November, 6.30 – 8.30pm at Broadmeadows Town Hall. Entry is free.
