Award-winning Altona singer/songwriter Nikita Azzopardi will be teaching young people how to find their voice as part of Hobsons Bay UP’s school holiday program in July.

The free program runs from July 1-12 at Newport Community Hub.

Azzopardi, who recently released her debut single,

Stones, is part of a two-hour workshop helping people to feel empowered and confident through the natural power of their voice.

She will be joined by international voice coach and musician Chris James. The session is on Thursday, July 4 from 11am-1pm.

Young people can also learn to record and produce music in the studio within the hub at a separate workshop.

Other school holiday sessions include learning to take professional photos and build confidence and self esteem.

Everyone is invited to drop in for the ‘Big Night UP’ on Friday, July 5 from 5-7pm.

The party will feature a DJ, photo booth, temporary tattoos and henna and other entertainment.

Bookings are essential for all workshops via hobsonsbay.vic.gov.au/HolidayProgram
