More than 60 firefighters have battled to contain a suspicious fire at a warehouse in Maribyrnong.
Fire crews arrived at the Williamsons Road property about 5.30am Thursday following reports of heavy smoke billowing from the 4000 square-metre building.
Firefighters cut open a roller door to access the fire, which had engulfed at least three cars inside.
The blaze took an hour to bring under control with firefighters preventing its spread to the neighbouring petrol station and Bunnings Warehouse.
Fire crews spent Thursday morning ventilating the smoke-logged warehouse.
The fire has been deemed as suspicious and handed over to Victoria Police for further investigation.
