Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found in Footscray on Friday night.
Police were called to a property on Cowper Street for a welfare check on the occupant just after 8pm on November 29.
The 62-year-old Footscray woman, who is yet to be formally identified, was found dead at the property which is believed to be a brothel.
Detectives are making inquiries to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident and investigations remain ongoing.
