Footscray MP Katie Hall visited Footscray West Primary School with Premier Daniel Andrews to celebrate the $9.4 million funding awarded to the school in the budget.

The almost $10 funding will go towards a new gym, canteen, food tech space and music rooms.

Ms Hall said she feels extremely proud to be able to deliver the good news she does for schools in person.

“I am incredibly proud of the hard work of the school community and principal Brendan Miller.

“Together, we have been working on a plan to provide the school with a new gymnasium equipped with music rooms and food technology spaces and it was terrific to have it funded in full in this year’s state budget.”

“It is always a pleasure to visit Footscray West Primary, and to be able to bring the premier with me this time was a fantastic surprise for the students.”

Ms Hall said the students were excited to see Mr Andrews at their school and to have the opportunity to talk to them.

“The students at Footscray West Primary are always engaging and fun to visit,” she said

“It was a great opportunity for student leaders to ask the Premier questions about the upgrade to their school.”
