Footscray winner picks up $950,000 TattsLotto windfall

A mystery Footscray winner has walked away with a windfall worth more than $950,000 after jointly picking up the division one TattsLotto prize.

The secretive winner is one of four division one winners nationwide to each take home a division one prize of $953,391.46.

Tatts officials had no way of contacting the winner as the ticket was unregistered, but the winner finally came forward four days after TattsLotto draw 3953 was drawn on Saturday.

The winner has chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.

They purchased their winning entry at Footscray Lotto, 151 Hopkins Street, Footscray.

Footscray Lotto owner Cynthia Lam said she was excited to hear her outlet had sold a division one winning entry.

“We are very happy for the winner and are hoping they are one of our regular customers,” she said.

“This is the third division one winning entry we’ve sold so far this year. We sold a division one winning syndicate entry worth $19,000 in February and a division one winning syndicate entry worth $754,000 in April.”

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 3953 on Saturday, June 8 were 22, 24, 42, 36, 39 and 1, while the supplementary numbers were 41 and 12.
