Footscray’s Dosa Hut catches fire

A Footscray Indian restaurant has caught fire on Monday afternoon.

The fire at Dosa Hut in Barkly Street was reported by multiple members of the community.

A Fire Rescue Victoria spokesman said seven trucks rushed to the scene and the blaze was deemed under control at 4.28pm.

“The fire was reported as an oil fire,” he said.

“We had multiple calls to it so we escalated our response straight away.

“So, there was a large number of fire trucks and they were on scene relatively quickly.”
