Kids are getting a kick out of the “footy fest” school holidays program at Highpoint shopping centre, launched on Monday by Western Bulldogs stars Caleb Daniel and Lukas Webb.
Running in partnership with the Bulldogs, the two-week program includes skills workshops, meet-and-greets with players, AFL card swaps, as well as interactive games, prizes and Bulldogs-themed arts and crafts.
Kids will learn how to create an AFL banner and be able to take home Bulldogs’ pom-poms from the team’s official cheer squad.
Activities include a chance to have a jump on the MCG-inspired jumping castle or win goodies from the Bulldogs’ Street Van when the prize wheel gets a spin.
Shoppers who sign into the Highpoint WiFi when visiting the centre during the school holidays will have the chance to win one of two Bulldogs’ junior mascot positions.
The footy fest activities will run every weekday until July 13 at The Junction, Level 1, Highpoint shopping centre.
Participation is free but registration is essential, via www.highpoint.com.au
