Heartbroken. A former Footscray Mayor and citizen of the year has appealed for help in finding bandits who took precious community service medals and treasured jewellery from her Footscray home.

Almost half a century ago, little Ralph Willis ran and played in the grounds of the Tottenham State school. On Friday, Mr Willis, who was the only pupil to wear a tie at Tottenham, was empowered to not only run the finances of a nation but to come up with fiscal palms to save his job and those of his ALP colleagues.
