Following a successful Fulldome Flicks program at Spotswood’s Scienceworks museum over the Easter school holidays, it has returned with new films in May and June for an extended season.

Fulldome Flicks is a program of family movies shown in the Melbourne Planetarium, all of which are specifically created for the immersive ‘fulldome’ screen, which is a rare cinematic experience.

With screenings on Saturdays from 4.30pm, Fulldome Flicks at the Melbourne Planetarium provides entertaining and educational experiences for kids and parents.

Viewers can journey through space and time in the Australian Outback via the world’s largest radio telescope in ‘Star Dreaming’, run on Saturdays in May.

Star Dreaming follows Max and Lucia as they discover how much the scientific world and the ancient world have in common, under the one sky we all share.

In June, families will also have the chance to marvel at the wonders for our coral reefs in the newest family-friendly movie on the dome.

‘Legend of the Enchanted Reef’ is said to be an imaginative and humorous animated movie for the whole family, run on Saturdays in June.

Each screening will also include the popular What’s in the Sky Tonight presentation, a presenter-led tour through the night sky.
