Gateway to cultural diversity

Gateway Community Services celebrated Cultural Diversity week with a social lunch for its Macedonian, Turkish and Tripoli senior members.

The not-for-profit organisation, based in South Kingsville, services Brimbank, Hobsons Bay, Maribrynong and Wyndham.

Services offered include disability and carers support, emergency food relief and social and lifestyle groups.

Multicultural social groups include the Italian/Maltese Social Group, Turkish Women’s Social Group and Macedonian Coffee Club.

Guests joined volunteers last week for cultural music and singing, belly dancing, henna demonstrations and Turkish tea and coffee sampling.
