Maribyrnong’s annual Get Active! Expo is back in 2022, giving residents the opportunity to get off the couch, move their body and try something new.

The Get Active! Expo will deliver a four-and-a-half week program with over 100 clinics, events and activities in parks, open spaces and facilities across Maribyrnong.

The expo will showcase the huge range of sport and recreation opportunities that are available in the municipality, and is the perfect way to try a new sport before you commit to it.

The options to choose from are endless and include yoga, table tennis, AFL umpiring, Tai Chi, all abilities basketball, skateboarding and lacrosse.

There are activities for all ages and abilities, from toddlers all the way to seniors, and there will be a range of online programs available as well.

Maribyrnong mayor Anthony Tran said if you’re someone who is looking to improve your health and wellbeing, then the Get Active! Expo is for you.

“There are a range of activities to suit everyone’s needs and interests, so why not give it a go and get outdoors locally, especially as we soak up the last of the warmer weather,” he said.

The Get Active! Expo is running until May 4, with registrations required. All registered participants receive 10 free visits to RecWest Footscray.
