Altona North Primary School celebrated Easter, and the start of the school holidays, with its annual Easter Hat Parade.

Students strutted their stuff and showed off their very best hat creations on Friday April 9, before embarking on two weeks of holidays.

Victorian students have until April 25 to relax and catch up on their sleep, and maybe eat a little chocolate, before they return to the classrooms.

For Easter, St. Johns Primary School had an installation all about the stations of the cross, which consisted of still black and white photos of the students re-enacting the stations.

There will also be a variety of Easter and school holiday activities in Maribyrnong and Hobsons Bay during the holidays, including a Mask Making Workshop on April 19 run by Maribyrnong council at the Maribyrnong Community Centre.

Children are invited to come along and make a mask using materials, including recycled paper and cardboard.
