From Friday, December 2, outbound drivers wanting to exit the West Gate Freeway at Grieve Parade will have to pick a lane earlier as works continue on the West Gate Tunnel project.
Extra road signage will be in place on the West Gate Bridge to ensure drivers have all the information to be in the right lane before they leave the bridge.
If they miss the Grieve Parade turn-off, the next available exit will be Kororoit Creek Road.
Drivers heading towards the M80 Ring Road and Princes Freeway just need to stay in any lane, as all four lanes rejoin after Grieve Parade.
The lanes are being shifted to extend a worksite in the middle of the freeway, with works to rebuild existing lanes, add new lanes and make space for the new outbound tunnel exit.
