Happy campers join Western Bulldogs Leadership Project

Western Bulldogs Leadership Project weekend camp participants.

The Western Bulldogs Leadership Project is officially underway.

Now in its fifth year, the program has helped more than 250 young people in Years 9 and 10 build confidence, make new friendships and develop skills towards becoming future leaders in their community.

Participant Brandon Rogers reports from a recent weekend camp run as part of the program:

“This weekend myself and over one hundred other participants attended a camp run by the Western Bulldogs as a part of the Western Bulldogs Leadership Program.

On the first day myself, and other participants attend the Grand Final rematch between the Western Bulldogs and the Sydney Swans.

The love of the Bulldogs unified participants, therefore creating friendships.

The second day consisted of multiple activities that would build friendships and skills.

On the final day, we all met up at Victoria University Whitten Oval and set goals for ourselves to hopefully meet in September, when the program ends.

Lastly, to the envy of other Bulldog supporters, we also went on a tour of VU Whitten Oval and learnt about the facilities and players.

Through the Leadership Project camp, I obtained new friendships, built skills and, as mentioned before, adopted new concepts to live my life by.”
