Police are investigating a hit and run collision in Kingsville on Sunday night.
Emergency services were called to Geelong Road about 7.15pm on 15 February after reports a pedestrian had been struck by a car.
It is alleged a silver Toyota Corolla was involved in the collision but did not stop at the scene.
The driver of the Corolla has since been identified and is assisting police with their inquires.
The pedestrian, believed to be a man in his 80s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Detectives from the Major Collision Investigation Unit are assisting local investigators.
