Holiday timetables

V-Line train and coach services will operate to altered timetables this festive season.

On Christmas Eve, Wednesday 24 December, V-Line trains and coaches will operate to a normal timetable.

However, the following day, Christmas Day, Thursday 25 December, V-Line trains will operate to a Sunday timetable, while most V-Line coach services will not run.

Those coach services that do run, such Melbourne to Mildura and Melbourne to Leongatha, will also run to a Sunday timetable.

On Boxing Day, Friday 26 December, V-Line trains will operate to a Saturday timetable, while scheduled coach services will run to an altered Saturday timetable.

Night coaches will also run.

The Overland train between Melbourne and Adelaide will operate on Boxing Day to a Friday timetable.

On New Year’s Eve, Wednesday 31 December, V-Line trains and coaches will operate to a normal timetable, while on New Years Day, Thursday 1 January 2026, trains will run to a Saturday timetable and scheduled coach services will run to an altered Saturday timetable.

The night coach service will not operate on New Year’s Day.
