The hosts of a new TV horror show caught the eyes of alarmed passersby on a recent promotional photo shoot in Footscray.

David Black and Tritia Devisha have teamed up to present Horror House, billed as a collection of the best short horror movies made in Australia.

Harking back to the eras of Deadly Earnest and Elvira, filming of the six-episode series was recently wrapped up.

Black said he would soon be seeking online and TV screening opportunities for the series.

“Originally, I came up with the idea of the show because I’d been to many short film nights and festivals and seen some mind-blowingly good horror movies,” he said.

“These amazing films usually can’t be released on a dvd or seen on TV due to being too short, so I decided to create a show that could feature them.”

Mr Black said the team at the Bluestone Church Arts Space in Footscray had been the perfect hosts for their recent photoshoot.
