The occupants of an Altona North home were evacuated this morning after it caught fire.
Firefighters responded to several triple-0 calls reporting a house fire on Chesser Street on the morning of Tuesday, August 5.
Crews arrived on scene within five minutes to find smoke and flames coming from the roof of the double-storey brick house.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the house to attack the fire internally and conduct a thorough search.
All occupants were safely evacuated and the blaze was brought under control by 9.48am.
Fire Rescue Victoria specialists and Victoria Police are investigating the cause of the blaze.
