Hunt for armed bandits over West Footscray milk bar robbery

Police are searching for two armed men who stole a cash register from a West Footscray milk bar.

The two men, armed with a knife and a tomahawk, entered the Palmerston Street milk bar about 6.15pm on January 24.

Senior Constable Melissa Seach said one of the bandits jumped the counter and stole the cash register after the attendant locked herself in a rear room.

The pair fled the scene with the cash register and were last seen running east on Alma Street.

Investigators have released images of two men that may be able to assist with their enquiries.
