Lara marvels at charity game

West Indies legend Brian Lara was stunning locals at Footscray United on Saturday as part of the T10 charity match.

Lara joined good friend and former teammate and now Footscray United star Daren Ganga to raise money for charity and for the club’s junior program.

Players, including former Australian player Fawad Ahmed, paid for the opportunity to play in the game before a question and answer session.

Bulldogs vice-president Daniel Melican took the biggest wicket of his career, having Lara stumped for 52 off 27 balls.
