A Laverton man has confessed his legs were shaking and he was feeling faint after learning he’d won $2.1 million in last weekend’s TattsLotto draw

The man held one of the 14 division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4535 on Saturday, January 4, 2025.

“No kidding!” he exclaimed when the enormity of his win was confirmed by an official from TattsLotto.

“I’m nearly going to faint! My legs are shaking. Wow!!”

The man, whose name has not been released, purchased his winning marked 10-game entry at Laverton Newsagency, on Aviation Road.

The winning numbers were 33, 19, 8, 23, 10 and 31, while the supplementary numbers were 42 and 13.

The man said they were the same numbers he’d be using for 50 years.

“It’s been that long that I don’t even remember why I chose those numbers,” said the man, who added that had it not been for the phone call, he wouldn’t have checked his ticket until he next went into the newsagency.

Now, he won’t need to visit a newsagency to buy a lotto ticket for a long time, if ever.

Instead, he’ll be thinking of making much larger purchases.

“I might even get myself a new car!,” he said, before adding that the enormity of his win had yet to properly set in.

“I haven’t had time to think about it all. It will mean a lot to me and my family.” .

“2025 is going to be a great year!”

That might be the understatement of the year.
