More than 30 firefighters attended a suspicious fire at a vacant factory in Sayers Road, Laverton North this morning.

The MFB has issued a statement saying it received numerous calls to triple-0 about the blaze, which appears to have started in a shed at the abandoned property, about 8.30am.

Smoke from the blaze was visible from the Western Ring Road.

CFA firefighters, Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria personnel also attended the scene.

The fire took about 75 minutes to bring under control. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
