Man arrested following brawl in Altona North

Police have arrested a man following a brawl in Altona North on Wednesday, January 26.

Police were called to a shopping centre on Millers Road after reports a man was armed with a machete about 9.30pm.

The man allegedly rammed the victim’s car after a road rage incident, before confronting him with a machete and damaging his car.

The man then allegedly chased the victim through a carpark before the victim could get in his car and escape.

The 31-year-old Mount Duneed man was arrested inside a nearby supermarket and was charged with assault, conduct endangering serious injury, assaults and weapons offences.

He was bailed to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates Court on August 15.
