Man arrested following Braybrook collision

Police have arrested a man following a collision in Braybrook on Tuesday, September 26, which left a child with critical injuries.

It’s understood a Toyota Prado collided with two parked cars in a rear laneway between Wirraway Ave and Liberator Lane about 5.20pm.

The Prado then struck two young children, who were playing in the laneway, before hitting another parked car.

An eight-year-old boy was pinned between the vehicles before being removed by emergency services.

He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A three-year-old boy was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Prado was arrested at the scene.

A 48-year-old Braybrook man is currently assisting police with their inquiries.

Police continue to investigate.
