A man was slashed with a machete while a woman managed to fend off armed intruders during a home invasion in Seabrook last month.

Police have released an image of two males wearing masks and hoodies wanted over the attack.

The intruders attempted to break into a St Anthony Court home about 4.40am on Monday, February 22.

A police spokeswoman said the masked males were confronted by the male occupant.

“One of the masked males struck the victim’s hand with what is believed to be a machete, causing a large laceration,” she said.

“The offenders again tried to force their way into the house.

“However, a female occupant managed to hold the door closed, and they ran off through parkland toward Skeleton Creek.

“The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.”

Police have released CCTV and images of two men they believe can assist with their inquiries.
