Maribyrnong and Hobsons Bay COVID update

The Victorian department of health has released the latest COVID data for Maribyrnong and Hobsons Bay.

As of Monday, Maribyrnong has recorded 250 new cases, bringing the municipalities total active cases to 2400.

Hobsons Bay has recorded 137 new cases, which means the City now has 1712 active cases.

This comes as the Victorian Government received the first major delivery of 3 million Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs) yesterday.

Distribution to key workforces will commence from today, with essential workforces being prioritised to receive the tests as part of the initial rollout.

Victorians who may have pre-existing conditions will also be prioritised.

Premier Daniel Andrews said: ““Thanks to our bulk order of tests, Victorians will soon be able to reliably obtain a free RAT. As more tests progressively arrive, we’ll continue to roll them out to those who need them.”

“As we continue to test, there’s nothing more important than getting your third dose – it will not only give you better protection against COVID-19, but also significantly slow transmission.”
